About Me

Sasson
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom
After gaining a degree as a mature student, I worked professionally delivering community film and music workshops until 2009, when my illness deteriorated and I had to give up work. After reading '21st Century Welfare' a year later, I knew that it would have serious implications for the poor ill and vulnerable. Consequently, I've commented extensively on various sites about these issues, and eventually decided to write my own blog. I was an artist, and even though I'm ill, I was sometimes able to continue – albeit with great difficulty – to compose music, songs, write, and paint, but the fear of what is about to happen to my life due to welfare reform sapped my creativity; the only thing I had left. So I decided to link to my portfolio here, and to see whether I could be 'reformed' in terms of my art; I will share the details of that journey on this site.
